Beads are part of African cultural costumes especially for lifetime events and not-to-be-forgotten memories and moments.
Commonest of them is the conventional red beads usable for both genders as neckwear, wrist wear, headwear, ankle wear, rings and as earrings.
I do my best as a creative photographer to capture these cultural beauty at every opportunity.
I learnt that kings men in the old days are mostly recognised by these red beads, in some African corners, with some beads very big and long sometimes touching the knee.
Ladies adorn themselves with it in a classy way for outings. The good thing is this, it matches most dress colours especially natives.
Why red? It is said and believed that the color is associated with self-confidence, vitality, sexual energy, passion, courage and strong personality.
Watch out for red beads on your next social event.
