The day i shot a corn seller in Alausa, Lagos

Roasted corn & plantain seller

So it happened on the first day of NIPHEC 2014, as we went on our lifetime photo walk that I sighted this woman selling roasted corn adjacent central mosque, Alausa, Ikeja.
As I approached her with my camera and 70-200mm lens, she shouted, “ki le tun fe ya wa fun oo, abi ka maa salo” (meaning what else do you want to snap us for or should we run?). Everyone laughed as she made that statement. Little did I realise that some road side hawkers had earlier been arrested with their goods in Lagos for selling in wrong places.
So I went to her, chatted with her and asked if she likes I take her a shot which she obliged. As we were about snapping, I cant remember again what happened that made her want to throw something to the guy behind me but that action was what I was privileged to capture. I must say its her gift to me that day.
